Ingredients
- 4-5 Rosemary sprigs
- Mint (optional)
- Water
Step-by-step instructions
- Cut or remove 4-5 rosemary sprigs from packet and wash in cold water to remove debris and set aside
- Boil enough water to cover the rosemary sprigs
- Add rosemary and mint (optional for fragrance) and let sit for 30-60 minutes (longer if you want higher potency). You’ll notice that over time, the water will turn dark pink.
- Once cooled, transfer to a spray bottle
- Keep in fridge for up to 2 weeks. Leaving this at room temperature may cause bacteria buildup over time.
Bonus Tips
- You can buy fresh rosemary sprigs at your local grocery stores. Aldi’s and Trader Joe’s carry these in convenient and very affordable packs. Alternatively, you can grow your own rosemary at home and have it ready for year-round usage!
- Because rosemary oil tends to make hair very oily (as it needs to be massaged into scalp and left on for at least 30 min), I reserve this for use on hair wash days and alternate with rosemary water on the other days. Spray on your hair 1-2x/day and massage into scalp. It feels like a mini-hair wash and leaves hair feeling fresh and clean!
- This spray bottle or bottle + comb (see below) makes application easy and convenient
